Columbia Basin College Events Feed http://www.columbiabasin.edu/home/index.asp?page=9 CBC Events Feed - Stay updated with the upcoming calendar events! en-us <![CDATA[ 'Seed of the Primal Mind' ]]> Date and Time: 11/17/2008 to 11/21/2008
Campus: Pasco Campus
Location: Esvelt Gallery

November 10 - December 4

Fuchigami’s clay forms suggest the image of a seed, with holes that evoke a sense of a void. However, these spaces are not empty, but instead serve as a metaphor for the infinite kernel of wisdom that lies sleeping (and therefore is not readily visible) within all of us. Currently, many of us are living in a state of societally-induced numbness, deadened to our own potential by the crisises around us. His sculptures encourage the viewer to “wake up” and truly see the promise of what rests deep within the primal mind.

Gallery Hours
