The Counseling and Advising Center is dedicated to promoting student success by helping students develop their potential as fully as possible – intellectually, socially, ethically, emotionally, and physically.
The counselors strive to provide an environment of encouragement and support in which people can develop success-oriented beliefs, feelings, and behaviors that promote a positive experience at CBC and beyond. Counselors also assist students with career planning, advising, and personal counseling.
The Educational Planners assist students with accurate information of college policies, course and program requirements, and identify and connect students with college services such as; counseling, tutoring, and other support services.
What services does the Counseling and Advising Center provide?
Services include transition to college, career planning, personal concerns, academic advising, referrals, college success classes, and workshops. These community resources are also available.

Where is the Counseling and Advising Center located?
The Counseling Center is located in the HUB.
The center hours are:
Monday: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m
Tuesday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m
Friday: 7:30 a.m. - noon
Summer Office Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m
Friday: 7:00 a.m. - noon
How Do I make an appointment with a Counselor or Educational Planner?
Appointments can be made with a Counselor or Educational Planner by calling (509) 542-5505 or walking into the Counseling Center located in the HUB.
Who are the Counselors and Educational Planners?
All CBC Counselors have master's level credentials in the areas of counseling, social work, and/or psychology. The counselors are registered and/or certified with the state of Washington. The Educational Planners have bachelor's or master's degrees in the fields of psychology and/or education.
