The Social Science and World Language Division's primary aim is to help students understand, communicate and interact with contemporary society.  The division focuses on improving students' reading, writing, critical thinking, creative and citizenship skills, as well as enhancing their understanding of human behavior and society.   The World Language Department offers opportunities for CBC students to broaden their global awareness and learn about other cultures while they gain communication skills.

The division office and most Social Science Department offices are located in the L Building. The World Language Department offices are located in the A Building.
