The Health and Physical Education Division at Columbia Basin College offers courses and programs to meet the needs of students interested in physical and health education. Students studying in these areas acquire knowledge and skills that apply to their personal or professional goals and prepare them to transfer to a four-year institution. Through specific coursework and activity classes, the division faculty are also committed to providing the instruction, information, and motivation necessary to make informed decisions concerning a healthy lifestyle and personal health behavior.

The Health and P.E. Division also provides a variety of intramural sports, leisure activities, skills classes, and fitness activities. The Division maintains a well-equipped Fitness Center and offers aerobics classes, weight training classes, and other programs which are available to students at Columbia Basin College as well as the general public.
Career prospects in the Health and P.E. disciplines include physical education, health promotion, coaching, and sports medicine/athletic training.
