Columbia Basin College Career & Technical Education programs are committed to assisting students in discovering their career interests leading to personal fulfillment and economic prosperity. Programs are designed to promote the economic vitality of Benton and Franklin counties through the preparation of an educated workforce meeting the needs of local industries and employers. Goals of the Division are to provide educational programs and services that increase the number of citizens prepared to work in high demand, high wage occupations, and to serve the needs of business and industry for well-prepared workers. These are accomplished through a wide variety of resources and program offerings.
Programs include classroom instruction and hands-on experience in campus shops and labs as well as work-based learning opportunities. There are opportunities for students to work on short-term skills development or certificates and degrees, depending on their short- and long-term goals.
